Bell times

Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.

It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our front office.

Purpose of school development days

School development days are used by schools to build on the knowledge and skills of our teachers, school leaders and school administrative support staff through a targeted professional learning program.

School development days will operate the way they always have. Students do not attend on these days as there are no timetabled lessons so staff can engage in professional development and planning. As has always been the case, where no alternative arrangements can be made, this is managed at a local school level.

Professional learning is important in building the capabilities of all staff to ensure a highly skilled and professional workforce that can support the department’s vision for NSW public education to be Australia’s best education system and one of the finest in the world. School development days improve the learning outcomes of students by:

Professional learning on this day is planned in alignment with the department’s Professional Learning Policy for Teachers and School Staff (2020) which requires:

2026 school development days

Term 2 school development day was dedicated to disability, neurodiversity and inclusive education.

The courses reaffirmed our collective commitment to inclusion and belonging. It built on the strengths of all staff and introduced a shared language for understanding neurodiversity as part of the natural diversity of all learners. Through student voice, lived experience, and expert insights, participants explored how inclusive, affirming environments enabled every child to access the curriculum and learning outcomes.
