Stage 3 Cyberbullying Drama Incursion

This term, as part of their PDHPE syllabus focus, Stage 3 students have been participating in lessons on digital citizenship and cyber bullying. To complement and reinforce content taught to students a booking has been made with Brainstorm Productions to perform their play ‘The H Team.’

Brainstorm Productions are an award-winning educational theatre company specialising in delivering cyber safety programs through the performance medium of drama. The actors will take students on a fun and exciting adventure that gives clear strategies for maintaining friendships and being safe on the internet. It encourages children to express their feelings in a safe way, use respectful language, seek help and never give their details or talk to strangers online.

‘The H Team’ is part of our Personal Development, Health and Physical Education curriculum and the program has been developed in consultation with teachers and psychologists, as well as drawing fromreal-life student experiences. The methodology of the program is safe, supportive, and non-judgmental and designed to provide students with positive and useful tools they can use in their everyday lives. We look forward to the participation of all Stage 3 students in this important and topical experience.
